LIVING IN STRONG CITY

The Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve (aka Spring Hill Ranch and Z-Bar Ranch) is located just 2 miles from Strong City. The nearly 11,000-acre preserve is co-managed by the National Park Service and The Nature Conservancy (a nongovernmental, non-profit organization). The preserve represents a nationally significant portion of the once vast tall-grass ecosystem and includes buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Preserve was established explicitly as a unique public/private partnership between the National Park Service and the Nature Conservancy.
