Veteran's Day Activities

A free luncheon for veterans and their guests will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, November 11 at Saint Anthony's hall the meal includes soup & pies. Jamie Potter, the commission on veterans affairs representative for Emporia will be at the lunch to answer questions about the VA as well as recent changes. The community is invited to the Chase County all veterans committee's annual Veterans Day ceremony at 1:30 PM. The event will be held at the all veterans memorial in Swope Park, Cottonwood Falls Collectables colonel Clay Childs, US AF retired will be the master of ceremonies. The C command sergeant major Steve Harmon. Ashley Williams will perform taps to close out the ceremony
