Bill House, of Arkansas City, was in the Hereford business for over 65 years. He was past president of the Kansas Livestock Association, the American Hereford Association, and the American National Cattlemen’s Association, now the National Cattlemen’s Association. Bill is gone now, but his strong influence remains at the state and national levels involving legislative initiatives that impact the entire beef cattle industry. Internationally, he worked on committees that have helped regulate and establish import quotas which are still in effect today, and are greatly depended upon to maintain the stability of the beef cattle industry in the United States.Learn More
