Black Tie Affair

The Strong City Preservation Alliance is thrilled to announce their highly anticipated 5th Annual Black Tie Affair, set to take place on September 21, 2024, at St. Anthony’s Hall, in Strong City, KS. Happy Hour and live music will begin at 5 pm with dinner and live auction to follow. This casual yet elegant event aims to raise funds for the restoration of the iconic 1900 Theater, a beloved cultural landmark in Strong City. Guests are invited to dress casual, but let their creative juices flow as they don their unique black tie and join in the festivities. The evening promises a delicious taco bar,donated and catered by Casa Ramos from Emporia, KS, a cash bar and live music, by the crowd pleasing trio, Acrostic. Excitement will fill the air with a live auction, raffle prizes and other surprises sprinkled throughout the night. The mission of the SCPA is to preserve, restore, and protect the rich historic environment within Strong City. Their dedication to maintaining the city’s built history is exemplified through projects like the restoration of the WB Strong Memorial Railway Park Caboose and the Santa Fe Depot and Museum. So plan on joining us in celebrating our shared heritage and contributing to the preservation of Strong City's architectural treasures. Tickets for this unforgettable evening are priced at $50 each or you can purchase the whole table and bring all of your rowdy friends.
