Join K-State Extension Family & Consumer Sciences Agent Deb Andres for these hands-on food preservation workshops covering both water bath and pressure canning using safe, research-based methods. Registration is required.

About the event
Home canning is a time-tested method of preserving seasonal foods for use all year long, and in our current times there is a renewed interest in learning the modern, research-based methods to safely can a variety of foods at home. Whether you’re new to canning or looking to sharpen your skills, in this class you will learn how to safely preserve fresh, seasonal produce, save money, and take home some of what you can during class. A light lunch will be provided. There is a registration fee of $40 per participant, due at the time of registration, to cover necessary supplies. To register for the class, call 620-767-5136 in Morris County or 620-273-6491 in Chase County.
